Britney Spears at the VMA’s…

britney fans… close your eyes. 
so i totally missed the VMA’s on MTV and such tonight, but couldn’t resist looking up the (as i knew it would be) impending sucky-ness of Britney Spears. now, i will admit that at one time i was a fan. but recently? yuck!
it was awful. everyone was saying:
“Just wait until you see the first 15 seconds, and you will be drawn back into Britney Spears all over again!”.
THAT is a load of CRAP! you people owe me a refund of my life spent staring in horror! i have never been so tempted to turn the channel in the first 15 seconds of a music performance! if you can even call it that! she totally was not singing, just lip-sync’ing, and doing a HORRIBLE job at that! ooh, and she has blue contacts now.. good choice, but still doesnt make her anymore easy to look at. and the wankering about the stage was not “dancing”. and the whole song is practically her saying “Gimme More” and groaning (which is hard to watch after eating; so be careful!)

so tonight was so much fun! drove all the way out to B.F.E. to find a movie that i have been unable to find for years. i had called a store and they said that this particular store had it. (Village of the Damned with Christopher Reeves) when i got to the store (did i mention that it was fucking a million miles away!?!) i went inside to see that it was quite packed. one of the biggest Movie Trading Company stores i had ever seen, however – so that was cool.
however, of course when i run to where it should be (alphabetically) — it isn’t there! so i asked a store employee, and he told me that the system said that they did have it in stock. he looked a bit more, couldn’t find it still – and with other apes asking questions, he had to give up. he did take my name and # and told me he would call me if he did find it, and that he felt truly awful for them not having it after i drove all that way. i wasn’t upset with him or the store, as i worked at BLOCKBUSTER for 3+ years; and knew how people were when it came to movies. so, i decided to use the “Video Store Customer Logic” and look for it. sure enough; it was in the E‘s — dropped by a customer that either didn’t want it, or their monster demon seed kid picked it up and set it down.
so all ended well. i got my movie, and i also got a boxset missing from my collection; Frasier (Season 2).
that concludes my adventures for this evening.

geeze, how do i go so long without a post? admittedly, i have been a bit more focused on the s7 network.. i’ve been fixing various bugs and working on new features for the s7 network and it’s projects. (still, that is no excuse for my lack of updates to my personal site!)
also, lost my job – so have been job-hunting. was glad to get out of there anyway – so fucking sick of quotas. will never work another job that involves quotas!! have also been trying to get things done around the house that i’ve neglected ever since i moved in.. (about a year ago!) admittedly, i am lazy; but never felt like doing shit after i got off work, and then tried to get as much as i could (errand-wise) done when i had days off. feels good to finally have the time to get everything done and feeling more homey.
anyways, that’s all i got for now. will try to be back later with more. am taking care of 3 families of cats (5 total) while my mom and sister are out of town visiting my sick Uncle. that has also been hard, and leaving me with a lack for words.
*waves*
